Local makers, food purveyors and more come together weekly for the new Park Hill Farm & Flea, every Thursday this Summer at Oneida Park. This family friendly marketplace aims to celebrate the Colorado lifestyle with a weekly outdoor market bringing together the best of local goods, food and drinks in Denver’s Largest Neighborhood, Park Hill.
“I noticed an opportunity in the neighborhood I live in because there were a lot of young families like mine,” says the father of daughters ages 3 and 8. “There wasn’t a place that was family-friendly, that wasn’t fancy and was also really good. I saw the opportunity to open a nice neighborhood family place—the kind of place I’d want to go to with my wife and my kids.”
The Local Butcher will open a second location at the Oneida Park shopping center in Park Hill this April, owner and head butcher Justin Herd said this week.

Kyle Wells’ wife is a risk-taker. He is less so. When the idea of opening a coffee shop persevered in Kyle’s mind, Fallene Wells, who has a hair salon business, said, “Why wouldn’t you do this?!”
Torpedo Coffee opened its doors on September 19 and celebrated its grand opening ten days later. More than 200 people attended, a success that Kyle attributes largely to support from neighbors. "A lot of people have said, 'We really needed this in the neighborhood; it's so great you're here,'" says Kyle.
